....all of a sudden, her father's face vanished, to be replaced by....

"B-Brian?" she stammered. her friend had his head bowed as he slowly reached his hands up and gripped her shoulders. she shivered at how cold he felt. she could see what looked like tears falling from his face.
"Brian? what is it?" she asked, her fear and concern making her words shaky "look at me, please"

slowly, as if making a gargantuan effort, Brian slowly raised his face to meet her eyes.

she screamed.

Brian's face was twisted in rage, and his eyes were empty black pools, with red pupils. what she thought were tears suddenly took on the crimson hue of blood. Ilana felt wetness on her cheeks as Brian suddenly squeezed her shoulders like a vise

"Brian? please, please stop, you're hurting me!"
Brian simply growled.
"Brian, Stop! what's going on?"
"you should know" Brian suddenly hissed 'it's your fault!"
"w-what?" Ilana stammered, as she tried to break free from his grip. this couldn't be Brian, he would never hurt her like this!
"you...you with your idyllic vision, with your overblown sense f righteousness..." "Brian" growled as Ilana saw other figures, more worker,s gathering around. all had the same enraged expressions, and all had the crimson tears....
"you, who refused to see the truth..." Brian went on, drawing her attention back to him "this is all YOUR FAULT!"
"What?" Ilana cried "what? I don't understand!"
"can't you see?" Brian said, his rage heightened by desperation "your people don't deserve to be saved! what will it take for you to see that the very thing you represent is destroying everything you love? to see that your father is a monster!?"
