Description It was about time for a sculpture

More importantly, it was about time to finish this sculpture... it had been standing on the kitchen since the beginning of winter or so!

This is the summer stag; three more are to come! Springy's armature is lying in Summer's place at the kitchen table right now.
The spots on his back, behind his eyes, and in the holes near the top of his mane glow in the dark, and his antlers and hooves are painted in silver and gold.
He is also my first attempt at pasteling; I do believe it came out quite well

Made with Super Sculpey clay over a wire and foil armature plus a good deal of viscose hair. Painted in acrylics and colored with pastels. Hair is colored with watercolors.

Thank you!
Heheh, jointed dolls look pretty difficult to make; I think I'll stick with regular clay sculptures for now

Heheh, I make everything glow in the dark! Heck, if it were socially acceptable, I'd make myself glow in the dark!

Well, maybe not... XD

XD I have to agree with you though, glow in the dark is awesome. I have some glow in the dark clay.. I'd love to get my hands on some glow in the dark paint though..

Glow in the dark clay? Nice!
GID paint takes too many layers to really glow; maybe I'll go a-searching for some glowing clay

Yeah. It's Premo GID clay by the way.

Oh, really? D: I guess that's a pretty bit downside..

Thank you!
Haha, the background is just some fleece I've been meaning to use, but haven't found a way to use. Perhaps I'll make a hat...

Oh wow, this is such a beautiful sculpture! The colours look really nice, especially the shimmering antlers and mane. Lovely work there!

Thank you!
Haha, those antlers were a pain! The silver paint was really transparent, so it took more layers than I would have liked for the color to be solid silver. I'll have to buy some new paints before I start another one!

You are most welcome!
Haha, I can see how painful that must be, though the end result looks great! I can't wait to see the other sculptures.

Holy cats, this is really nice! The body and the mane especially look amazing. The colors are nice too, and the gradient between the colors looks very smooth.

I can't wait to see the others! : D

Thank you!
Heheh, thank goodness for pasteling tutorials; I would never have been able to get that gradient with paint!

You might have to wait quite a while... Spring's been an armature for at least a week now XD
