Description Dim the lights and watch me shine, but only for a moment for tomorrow I may wilt...

Sometimes flowers need their moment to shine. Taken one evening some time after "Saturday Morning", I was trying for a different effect and oddly enough came up with this. Kinda curious how you go for one thing, but something else ends up being the result. *ponders* Enjoy.

This is excellent. My favourite flower and color. Very clear and I think the lighting and contrast are excellent.

I think of a supernova when I see this photo, a starburst that spreads out into the ultraviolet.

Love the plants natural leading lines. They give a very soothing effect to this image.

actually 10 to 1, you proabaly didnt miss it - I hate it how stuff pops back up on people's radars when you submit it for a print. The kicker is when it gets rejected and people are like huh? lol but Im glad you enjoyed it just the same

lol can you tell I had some extra time tonight? woooo! getting to all those thank you's I've been beholdin' to people for the past fortnight. *grimaces* either way, Im glad you like it, and I do appreciate it. I know how stuff like this gets old and repetative after a while, but that doesn't mean it's any less appreciated when someone's kind enough to tell you they enjoy it just the same. *smirks*

so thank you.

I like the use of dark and warm colors, I feel a little better depite all the dark and cool tones in the photo, reminds me a bit of a fire's look in reverse.

Well shot.

Everything I would say , has been said before. In Genral Nice Work. I must add I like the look that the flower presented having that light above look, and yet with great detail still present.

I love what you did with the light on this Miss K - and it is framed and composed wonderfully as well.

Very beautiful

That's seriously gorgeous. The details, color contrast, black background, stroke and composition are quite suberb. What I like the most, though, is how it's all bound nicely together... the description itself is very fitting to the photo and I like it - it's so very true, and I think that's the reason people should live for present and not just worry about the future - and the name matches well with it. However, the name also matches with the shot itself with the almost glowing center! I'm quite speechless to be honest

I was going to leave a really nice comment and then I read Christy's(* 80schick ) message and she stole what I was thinking, all the way down to Rush.

Oh well, I'll jusy say...purty.

Well, I probably wouldn't have said it, but it was definitely playing in my head.
Doing good. Hoping we can help make your instate rivalry a little easier next year (good luck 11/20). How 'bout you?

As if the yellow wasn't enough to draw your attention to the center of the shot, all of the veins in the petals seem to be ushering you along, too. I think the off-center, not straight-up verticle angle of the yellow part of the flower definitely adds character to the shot.

The lighting is great... it almost seems as if the flower up top is glowing. Nice choice of framing, too.

And now, I have the Rush song, "Limelight" stuck in my head!

When I first looked at this I thought of the one scene in Alice In Wonderland... the one where she is in the garden and all of the flowers sing to her... This reminds me of the one really pretty flower that was all snobby and sang opera. lol does anyone know what I'm talking about? Anyways this is great! (like most of your work) I think the name you chose is very appropriate for this piece. Well done as always!
