Took me forever to get around to seeing the third Bleach movie Fade to Black. Man, check out Rukia going berserk.Lines and Colors by: Me

(I was thinking about adding pupils so the eyes didn't look so lazy, but she didn't have them when she was this far gone. Oh well, what do you think?)

Strong, Bold, Expressive...
This is what I see, whenever I view this particular deviation, (over and over again)
A Character that has been rendered in many forms and modes, including - *close-ups* - but for some reason this one has that (extra) expressive meaning that explains Rukia's complete internal Hollowfication perfectly!
You can sense that - *empty* - soul that has taken over Rukia Kuchiki, transforming her into this darkened persona, that is infamous (yet) also famous and known to all her fans.
The reason for this is because of the following:
The colours that the artist used are placed are balanced, equal, set the tone, reminiscent to the original and also somewhat has a retro effect.
The blending of the colours is perfect, not taking away from the Character, the background, nor from the extreme close up to this deviation..
The shading is complementary to distinguish certain features subtly.
The added lines to the facial expression give an added wickedness and tone to the persona, that is seen (yet) are only quickly seen in the film - Fade to Black -
I like the way that these lines are only focused to the facial area, particularly around the eyes.
The extreme clinching of the teeth also assists the viewer in seeing, feeling the details of the hollowification, and the kicker that completes the transformation are the eyes..
They are complete nothing... dark and hollow ...so empty that only space itself can equal that feeling of loneliness, dread, and mystery.
For this fan, this is an exemplary example of expressive artistry, and the artist has captured this very well in this deviation.
I look forward to seeing more from this artist.

Omg wow, I'm truly taken aback at your words and the sheer effort that went into this. It means a lot that someone could feel this strongly about something I worked on. It is so inspiring that I'm going to have to break my art fast and get things back in gear as well as continue my closeup face series.
