I like your depiction of Jekyll. He looks so tired, poor man.

Yay! Recognition for Jekyll! Everyone else concerns themselves with Hyde, but I like both sides equally and think they deserve the same attention. *high five*
Yes...poor, tired man...

I love Jekyll as a character, but Hyde as a symbol, as with every new interpretation of the story, Hyde tends to take on the role of whatever society fears at the time. Stevenson set up a perfect story through which society can be asked to face its fears, again and again throughout history.
And, really, you can't take one without the other. In one of my lit classes this past year we stopped referring to just Jekyll and Hyde, but Jekyll-and-Hyde. Separate and inseparable, opposing and united simultaneously.

I totally agree with your assertion of Stevenson. That's why the character is so pertinent even today.
Hehe Jekyll-and-Hyde. Perfect.

The way you draw hyde keeps making me giggle. Also,I'm loving the pinstripes on his pants. It's Hyde and his "pinstripes of doom!" run away!!!

Hehehe "pinstripes of doom," I like it.
Hyde is so much fun to draw. I mean, Jekyll is fun too, with his mutton chops and all, but OH MY GOD HYDE. I have a feeling he's going to be popping up in my school notes far more often than his "good and better twin." :3

I end up doodling little Jekyll and Hydes in my notes alot. Only thing is everyone stares when I draw. I'll be sitting in class drawing and I'll have 3 people staring at my art. And none of them know Jekyll and Hyde.

Did I reply to this? hmm. I thought I did but it doesn't show that I did. Odd. Well, In case my reply didn't go through, I can't comprehend it either. Its such a brilliant story! The only explanation I can think of is that the world has gone insane.
