Don't ask why I've been typing Disney Songs for Deviation titles, because I don't either! 8D;
ANYWAY~ This is my a little over-due 'quick trade' with the talented ~Cluastrophobia ! Look at her gorgeous half that she did for me of Ani! Man, I love this so much! -> [link]
When she asked for quick trades, I thought I could get it done immediately- truth be told, I actually got started on the lineart by the time she agreed to it! *inhales through teeth* Buuuut life got in the way and college shit happened, thus this was late. So I send my deepest apology to her and put a lot more effort into this piece then I should, even including... *gasp* a background!
SERIOUSLY. LIKE. WOAH.
So, introducing her awesome character named Rhad! [Well, currently, she's trying to adopt from on Neopet, I'm rootin' for ya, phobia! 8D] I don't know his personality all that well, in most drawings of him, he always had a srs face but yet has a charming spark to him. As if he's hiding something. OoOoOhhh~ Sneaky, sneaky!
And he's smexy. ;D
But for this one, I gotta say... this is his lol face! Lawl!
Though I gotta admit, while I bitched and moaned about drawing his giant wings and redid his tail like... fifty times before I was content with it, I was quite happy with how this came out! It was in fact this doodle that gotten me interested in cell-shading and phobia's cell-shading artwork has been an inspiration that I wanted to give my paw at it! It's not too shabby but eh, could be improved. xD

Anyway, well as you know already know from the text message that I had sent you, I was so impressed that well..I sent you a text message..? But really I was that blown away by this, and when you look at this compared to the last picture that you posted it such a dramatic contrast!
Of course like everyone else has said the pose is very fitting, the way that he seems to have his head tilted back as if there is nothing in the world that could possible bother him, relaxed and chilled, he seems totally at ease, perfectly fitting into his enviroment
and speaking of the backround its really well done! Youve really started to get into a habit of actually doing very nicely detailed backrounds and let me tell you they really do add alot of a picture (even if they are a pain to think of and actually do)
Oh might I also mention that I love that front paw? I dont know why but I really like it! Also his hair, that also stands out to me alot (but you also know that I loooove to draw flowy hair!). The way that its colored gives it a very sleek and silky look to it, and the even shines really give it more depth...sorta reminds me of water....I dont know if that makes any sense or not.

Hehehe, this is true! It's gone from "OMFG HEY I'M GUNNA MAKE YOU BLIND" to "Its dark. It's creepy. I'm gunna laugh evilly nao." It's a neat thing to see when looking at the gallery I have to admit!
Thank you SO much for another long comment, I really appreciate the fact that someone is actually noticing all the small details- from the hair to the eyes to the paw to the background. Speaking of which! I so agree with you when you say that the background really adds to the picture because... well... it does! xD

*SHOWERS LUFFF* Seriously, I'm impressed enough as it is that you actually finished something. But I'm super impressed on how well this finally turned out!
That tail and hair floof is freaking... um, FLOOFLY! And silky and shiny. Ohh my gaawwwd, that is shaded so nicely. The curve of the neck and the entire face is done perfectly. The expression is also so great.
I like the subtle folds in the wings and overall, the coloring job is brilliant! I can't do cell shading all that well either but you totally pulled it off. I love the chest/neck area and the way you folded the hands too.
Ugh, yes! This picture is definitely worthy of your Ani-ness.

That's one impressive looking dragon! (Or is it a "draik" or whatever Neopets calls dragons?) I just love that face! For some reason, he looks like he's 2/3 of the way through telling a somewhat rude joke.
