Woah... Behold the first art of 2013! 8DI have decided to stop holding myself back from posting things out of fear of people reminding me of my To-Do List... Which I promise I haven't forgotten. I just need to get myself into a habit of drawing more and more; resolution for 2013: do more art and finish what I owe!
Moving on...
This is actually part of an art trade [the "we-got-a-new-tablet" trade] with ~Spoosty ! She requested that I draw her absolutely gorgeous Deinonychus character named Nym. [I got the species wrong lD; So I've been referencing from a velociraptor; they'resimilarenoughok!] She is such a delight to color! c: I admit that I've been wanting to draw her since Spoosty showed me her first artwork a while back, so it's nice to have an excuse!
...It... It was supposed to be a small simple art trade... But I was having too much fun that I just kinda overdid it. v_v" This is actually my first try at drawing an accurate raptor too, haha. Hope I didn't do so bad!

whaaaat...WHAT IS THIS?? IS THIS...ART FROM ANI???? 8UUUUU OMG YYESSSSS!!!!!! I cant tell you how excited I got when I saw this pop up in my inbox xD I was like going thru my messages and I was like 'wow that is a colorful raptor! Who drew this.......Ani?....ANI DREW ART? 8DD OMG YES!!'
And what a beautiful art is is! Such a beautiful character and so playful and cute! Hooray for new tablets and inspiration xD Anyway..as I was saying this is just such a cute picture, even using a raptor for a pose I think that this is just perfect and so fitting, I love how the character is dashing forward, clearly interested in something and those big bubbly eyes so full of expression and life! UH WOMAN. YOU AND YOUR LINES..GOD I LOVE THEM SO MUCH ;; You tell me often that you are envious of my lineart, but likewise I am envious of yours xD I mean look at all those little details from the scales on her feet and muzzle, to the little ruffles of feathers down her neck and arms. UGH ITS SO AWESOME!! Oh and the colors! So beautiful and bright and vibrant! I think that you got this character down and I just love how you did her markings, specially the stripes and down the body and the feather tips, so simple and yet very elegant!
HAVE I MENTIONED THAT I LOVE THAT POSE? CAUSE I LOVE THAT POSE. I mean like seriously, wow, omg..that pose...dat body..yyeaaaahh B3 I can see why you ended up going a bit overboard, but you know thats not a bad thing, that just means you loved on it more xD But wow, love, this is really super amazingly awesome and just so freakin cool!! Its so good to see you posting stuff again cause..you know I kinda like stalk your page << I also love the backround, as I said, its simple but yet fitting without it taking too much away from the character :3

Seriously girl, you make lots of colors work well in like every single piece that you do! The expression is adorable here and I love the pose, you can see lots of her feathers~ :> Very nice simple background to go with it all, too. it works out very nicely!
