Woo, so, now that we're done with the really big discourse bombs, now we're back to regularly scheduled programming in chronological order, lmao. This one comes from October 27, 2016 and is my idea of who Monster Kid's parents are!

You may notice that one of them looks familiar! Yep! She's one of the newspaper editors in Snowdin , and I admit I decided this entirely based on the fact that she has similar colors, lol. But she also does sorta look like Monster Kid, y'know? So I think it works! I named her Amanda, with the intention that the other two Libarby monsters have names starting with B and C, because I think that'd be cute and clever, and I'm right about that, lmao. BTW, that their mom is Amanda is also why Monster Kid shows up in Snowdin postgame! (: They're visiting their mom!

And on the other hand, their dad is a sea monster that lives in Waterfall! His name is Monster Sir, btw, because I think I am very cute and clever, and I'm still right about this. (/j, at least in the smugness)
To be clear, they're not divorced or anything, part of the plot of Undertale, after all, was that the Underground isn't an easy place to live with how many different kinds of monsters there are and how many different environments they live in; Amanda wanted to live where there's a library (libarby) readily available, which clashed with Waterfall's damp wetness, and obviously as a sea serpent/sea serpent adjacent monster, Sir couldn't readily live in that freezing river.

As a side note, Monster Sir's colors would have been very greyed and muted out, as a reference to my own headcanon; Goner Kid is Monster Kid's sister. Though, granted, I'm fairly certain that the Monster Kid lookalike in Deltarune could easily be MK's big sis, considering they seem mean and have just a different enough design that it'd make sense, I still like this idea because of how cute Goner Kid is and how much she contrasts with Monster Kid.

I did also headcanon she was the Suzy referenced by Clamgirl, which obviously is incorrect considering the clear intention that the Suzy in question is Susie from Deltarune... but actually, part of me wants to make it so that, actually, no, she is also named Suzy, lmao. I don't know, it feels like a totally Undertale sort of joke to make, y'know?

Like, ha, you thought this thing that was so obviously a reference to the (mechanical, if not in timeline) sequel? No! She's just also named Suzy! It's not like Susie has a monopoly on the name or anything ):<
