no matter how many times i watch it, your work feels like a picture instead of painting.

if i may ask, how long did it take to draw this painting and what page sizes do you use for drawing ?

It takes about a day and a half. If I have inspiration it turns out faster.
And I never navigate the original size of the page. Everything ends with a function 'canvas size' (god bless the Photoshop!).

This must be the first painting I have seen of these characters, and I love it.

I definitely like this painting, since the story of Imrazor & Mithrellas is dear to my heart. Tolkien's tale of knightly romance and old-style faery contact played out well in the tale. I agree that Mithrellas was not necessarily a blonde, since most of the Elves native to Middle-Earth were dark-haired. (Light hair belonged to the Vanyar and the Noldor who were descended from Noldor-Vanyar unions.) The color of dress looked right for an elf of the Golden Wood. Being an elf she does not look especially distressed even after wandering about in the White Mountains and back-country of Gondor.

Yes, drawing it, I thought, it's hard to imagine Legolas for example, grimy and dirty.

Gwindor looked shabby and worn when Beleg found him, but he had escaped from Angband. Voronwe looked bedraggled when he met Tuor, but he had been shipwrecked and washed ashore. Can't think of too many other Elves who looked dirty & disshevelled, even in the middle of the wilderness.
