Description Steaming through the valleys of Northern Wales
Remains a little railway prosperous
Fascinatingly so one would tell tales
Of the line perhaps meek yet mountainous

Welsh Slate was the lifeblood of the quarries
For the railway to have eagerly served
With horses and carts as said in stories
Before the age of steam became observed

Quaint little engines built by George England
Namely Prince and Palmerston so to speak
Puffing while wearing flags of Great Britain
On an express have no lack of mystique

Forever may the quarries have dry rails
On the Ffestiniog of Northern Wales
