Description This is the piece to represent the feeling of Excitement for my Universal Emotions series.
I thought I'd try a terraspace piece, I've been working on Adventurous for a few days now and it still needs alot of work, so I decided to do another piece in between.
Anyway, enjoy
!!!!!!! Fullview !!!!!!!!

Details:
No custom brushes or textures used (except for the planets).
I used terragen for the landscape.
Did the rest in Photoshop7 and my tablet.
Took about 4 hours including the work in TG (not the rendering time though).

Any feedback would be great

oooo man. u should have paitned the clouds too instead of rendering them on terragen. it would have looked alot sweeter! but as it is, this is stunning work man. great work. awesome tones of yellow.

Nice work, dude. I don't think you need much feedback. If you hadn't said this was TG/Photoshop hybrid, I would've considered it a full digital painting.

I'd have lightened the landscape a little bit, but other than that, this piece rocks! I love your use of color--many people just don't get into color that much, but you seem to take it and RUN with it.

The title fits well with the piece, too. How can one not be excited at this kind of scenery?

The photoshop work agrees well with the terragen work. The composition is nice except for a minor negative space issue in the bottom right. I love the detail in the upper right, but the diffraction spikes on that star are just a bit strange. I also like the vertical clouds on the left side, and feel that they help to move the eye around that area. They also indicate an atmosphere different from ours, thus giving this piece a very alien feeling. Lastly, the image is monochromatic, but that it simply a matter of preference. Fine work here; keep it up.

Your space art is nearly perfect, and I see nothing wrong with the terrain, but next time go with 2d clouds - 3d clouds are just impossible to work with(they get choppy at the edges)

Very nice terraspace piece

+ Overall nice image
+ Good technique

- You can emedietly tell it's a terragen render. (clouds and overall terragen feel). I'm probably the only one against that though.
- Doesn't really scream with "excitement" IMO, looks a bit sleepy in fact.

The ladnscape's texture isn't so good and the stars are UGLY, plus the envirmnet of the overall piece composition isn't good, althought the execution was great.
