Shanti was born in a seaside village in India to Armand and Naida and has an older brother named Kamya. Being an ocean lover, she loves to pick shells, corals and pearls and look at the fish in the seas but they moved to the man village sooner and Shanti misses the ocean so much but the shells, corals and pearls that she gathered in her home village really cheered her up. When she was asked to fetch water for the first time, she tried to put the jar into the water but the water rose in front of her. Amazed, she put her jar in front of her, her hands glow in blue and she was able to put the water in the jug without putting the jug in the water. It was a relief that nobody saw that but Dulia was the only one who saw it and they become best friends and she told her parents about her newfound friend and ability, which reminded her father about his ancestry and the peculiarity that has been clinging in his bloodline. After fetching water for the fiftieth time, she tried to carry it back but it was too heavy and ended up dropping it. Before it hit the ground, it was saved by Mowgli. When Shanti thanked him, she blushed seeing that he was wearing nothing. Nevertheless, she was grateful for his help, and he offered to help her back. The first meeting was a bit awkward, but her parents were happy to welcome him, aside from Messua and her family and Kamya became his fellow cattle herder. One day, a typhoon had hit the village, causing a flash flood, thankfully, the village remained virtually unharmed when Sanjay, with the help of Mowgli, was able to convince the villagers to move to higher grounds while Mowgli, Ranjan, Shanti and Dulia used their powers to stop the flooding from destroying the village. Her parents and Kamya support her desicion to be with Mowgli and she leaves her old, village life behind, including her clothes. Now, they both live in the jungle and protect it along with the village, with their powers and became friends with Juno.
