Description

Okay I'm gonna do it! I guess the thinking behind this is I wanted a more active character... but how do you do that in this kind of relaxed town setting? This is my answer!

EDIT: Yeah, this wasn't entered in the end. Why? Real life hates me and I had a lack of internet access this weekend. Ah well, try again next time!

- HISTORY: Sandy was born into a rather large family (seven siblings, mum and dad, two sets of grandparents... crazy right?) in Fuchsia City in Kanto. Sandy was a born tomboy - she hated the endless dolls her grandmother gifted her with (but she always took them with an uneasy, fake smile), and always played with her brothers in the mud and climbing trees, causing her mother to sigh in slight exasperation as she pulled off her filthy clothes and put plasters on her (numerous) bumps and scratches. Her oldest brother, Max, always liked to read stories to her, of faraway places and great adventures. She would often try and imagine herself as the great, brave and bold hero who would save the day. Some day, she was determined that that WOULD be her.

In her early school days, one of her best friends, a young Skitty, invited her along to the local unit of Sentret Scouts, an organisation aimed at teaching young Pokemon useful life skills and how to survive in the wild. Sandy lapped it up. She loved all the activities they did, and simply digged camping! Oh, and of course, there were the badges. Sandy simply adored trying to find and collect badges. She never missed an opportunity to get one - every single event she would try to go to in case there was an extra special badge given out. Such was her obsession that one day in her later childhood, she ended up sobbing herself ill after a cousin's wedding made her miss a one-off anniversary badge. Max managed to trace it down online in an effort to help her, but she refused to take it, saying it felt like cheating and it just wasn't the same if she didn't get it herself.

At school, her focus on her extracurricular didn't exactly help her grades much, but she was definitely excellent at sport and was one of her high school's top athletes. Her chatty nature gave her a lot of friends, but her slight rashness also lost a few, and her obsession with Sentret Scouts just seemed so kiddy and childish in high school. Not that she cared.

Now that she has graduated school, she's decided to finally leave her crowded family home and move elsewhere. One fateful day, her local leader spoke to her. Her family originally lived in a place called Pokette Town, and she'd only recently discovered there wasn't a Scout unit there, or at least there hadn't been in several years. Excited, Sandy made an instant declaration that she would set one up there. Naturally, she hadn't thought properly about this, and her jaw nearly dropped off when she found out how much she'd need to move there, but she spent the next year working two or three jobs a week (okay, maybe she got fired a few times for not thinking, but her enthusiasm never failed to get her another in due time). Sure it's not the great adventure she's dreamed of, but you gotta start somewhere...
- HOBBY: Sandy just loves to explore the world - she'll climb rocks, she'll go for a swim in the sea, surf, but she especially loves camping. Heck, she'd just love to do it all the time. Well, actually, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but ah well. She also loves sports, naturally, and a bit of cooking over campfires, and most importantly, collecting those all important Sentret Scout badges.
- JOB: Sentret Scout Leader - hopes to set up and lead a troop if she manages to make enough to settle in Pokette Town.
- FAVORITE FOOD: Muffins and S'mores.
- FAVORITE BERRY: Pecha Berry
