First of my fancasting wallpapers centered around Ruatha Hold and the book THE WHITE DRAGON. I just love how my mind works sometimes, I was all ready to go with a different actor as Lytol. But as I was making the actual paper a different actor suddenly popped into my head. Once I saw how well he matched up with Lytol I changed my mind. So here is Anthony Stewart Head as Lytol.Stewart Head should be recognizable to fans of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER as Giles, Buffy's watcher. He's also been in the movie musical REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA, the celebrated DOCTOR WHO episode "School Reunion", and now he plays Uther Pendragon on BBC's MERLIN. I think it was the fact that he's currently playing a guy with "dragon" in his name that won me over, plus I liked how his face shows a weariness to it that fits the scarred Lytol perfectly.
Made once again with MS Paint and another shot out to ScribblerRigby for providing the Robin Wood illustration. The WHITE DRAGON casting wallpapers will cover Lord Fax and Lady Gemma (I know they aren't in that book, but I figured they should be done to show where Jaxom comes from), Toric, Sharra, and of course Jaxom. If there are any requests for any other characters from the book let me know. Once that is finished I'll be casting some of the other characters in the Pern books in no particular order.

I love this actor, he is awsome but I just don't know if he could pull off that constant haunted, soul ripped out at all times kind of look. He does look very much like the drawing but I don't think the personality would be a good match.

To be honest I am not sure if his character can be pulled off right by anyone. That constant haunting, soulless persona would be almost impossible for anyone to pull off. If you just go by looks he would work great though.

HELL YES!!! Only one of my favorite British actors...he would be *awesome* as an ex-dragonrider. All tortured and slightly resentful, but still respected...he'd be perfect.

Oh and I pretty much confine myself to the characters in the PEOPLE OF PERN book, so I can use the drawings by Robin Wood as guides for the casting. Just let me know if there's someone in there you'd like to see me try to cast. Also I am taking suggestions for Mastersmith Fanderal. If you've got an suggestions for that character let me know as well.

Yeah he is a pretty good choice. My only problem with him is that he was only a giant through the miracle of CGI and I was kinda hoping to fancast a naturally tall actor. Still if I come up for short I do think I'll go with this guy.

I think Neeson's a bit too young to play Robinton, but yes he would make a fine Lytol. I think he'd be perfect as T'RON, the oldtimer.

I love your choice for Sharra. I've not seen her in Robin Hood (yet) but just from looks i think shes dead on!
Jaxom looks good too. Your pick is closer to what I've imagined Jaxom to look like. I've always seen him a bit younger than Robin Wood's portrayal. 
but then again, some 18 year old males look ALOT older than most teenagers....so I suppose its all up to opinion anyway!!

Oh, the actor I was originally thinking of using is Victor Garber from ALIAS and ELI STONE. But when I really looked at his perfectly smooth face I began to doubt it was a good choice, then I thought of Anthony Head and that sealed it.

Holy crap, he's perfect! I had a different actor in mind for Lytol, but He's even better! I actually just started watching Merlin a month ago, I don't know why this didn't occur to me too.
