Personality:
Yaiba is a pretty laid-back guy. He doesn't go up and introduce himself to people much. He's more comfortable just giving new people a smile and wave. If they want to talk to him then he'll talk, but he won't just go up to random people. The one exception is if he sees somebody playing an instrument, singing, or doing something else music related. He gets very excited when talking about music and talks pretty loud once he gets excited. He's also very protective of his wife Suki and his son Tenshi.

History/ Biography:

Yaiba was born into a musical family. His father plays the guitar and his mother plays violin. By the time he was 5 Yaiba had learned to play the piano, which is his favorite instrument to play to this day. His sister Laura was born when he was 5 and his brother Seto was born when he was 8. Both his siblings learned to play violin and cello respectively. By the time he was 13 Yaiba was able to play piano, organ, violin, viola, cello, string bass, trombone, trumpet, and tuba. He composed two 6 hour symphonies by his 14th birthday.

When he turned 15 he pleaded with his parents, and eventually got their permission to move out on his own. He made his way from town to town as a traveling musician until came across a magician's guild when he was 17. He played music for the mages for days before meeting one of them who had a sound manipulating magic. Even though Yaiba was a bit old to be an apprentice he learned soundwave magic from this mage, studying for 3 years. After learning soundwave magic, he turned down the guild's offer of membership in favor of joining up with a group of traveling merchants as a body guard and musician.

As a member of the group of traveling merchants he met his best friend Towen Joltum. He went all over the world, learning about all different kinds of music and also different ways to use his magic power. Together Towen and him were known as the Lightning and Thunder team. Lighting refering to Towen's light magic and Thunder refering to Yaiba's rumbling soundwaves. Yaiba worked with Towen for 12 years and retired from the merchant group when he was 32 years old.

For the next 3 years Yaiba went back to his hometown and spent time working as a music teacher at his old school. He learned about his sister graduating from college and becoming a scientist while he was gone, as well as his brother starting the rock band known as DoubleM. He met his sister's husband and his nephew during this time also. When he was 35 Yaiba got word that his friend Towen had died. He felt horrible for not being there and blamed himself for it happening. He learned of Ayden Joltum, Towen's younger brother, and swore to repay Ayden for the debt.

His search for Ayden brought Yaiba to Sea Wing, a mages guild. Even though Ayden told him that it wasn't his fault, Yaiba still joined the guild in order to be able to help Ayden as a way of repaying his debt. During his time at the guild Yaiba has grown to love the guild and accept Towen's fate. He also met Suki Namae, who in addition to Ayden, became one of his best friends. After a few months of working together Yaiba and Suki grew to love eachother and got married. They now have a son named Tenshi who is a little over a year old.

Yaiba fights by blasting his opponents with powerful soundwaves. Higher notes hit like sharp blades, were as low notes hit like hard blunt objects. He can also use his powers to cancel out or immitate virtually any sound.
