Description First off: No, I am not a hardcore Harry Potter Fan. This is what I thought Hermione would look like from reading the 4th book (HP and the Goblet of Fire) and is not suppose to look like Miss Watson. Pretty generic face, but i tried to capture her intelligence in her eyes, new beauty, bushy hair rebelling against the SleekEazy Potion and Inward posture for the insecurties of growing up ~~

I did a few more, Krum, Fleur and Mad-Eye Moody (the latter being the only one that looked drastically different from the movie character...though i have not seen the actual movie, just commercials... ) those of which i will not be posting for I have already given them to my friend, who is an obsessive HP fan

That being said ..and if anyone is actually still reading ...This was done as part of my visuals for an English project... In the summer My friend convinced me to read this if he read the His Dark Materials trilogy, which i recommended to him and to you all. Conclusion: Pretty good book ;D

Time: er... 20-30 mins ish
Media: Pencil and Ink
Character (c) J.K Rowling
Drawing (c) Me

This definitely looks more like the Hermione I imagined than the one in the movie did. Good job!

y'know i never actually read any of the books....so my judgment is kind of skewed, having only seen the movies....

but i love the eyes and hair. it conveys personality without overloading the image with unneccessary details. I like it

Yay, a comment! . Im glad you took the time to comment on my work! And yes, I originally read The first book, thought it wasnt THAT great (HP fans dont kill me please), then saw the movie and thought that was pretty good. There was so much hype, I thought, maybe I missed something...? So I read the book again...and yeaa...noo.....same opinion, lol. In short, I like watching the movies better, too. However, it's refreshing to form the story visually in your own head and then compare it to the director's vision.

Exactly....when I heard they were making Lord of the Rings into a movie trilogy, I had to hurry up and finish reading the original books so that I would have my own memories of the story in my mind before seeing a movie locked certain images into my head.....it's nice to mentally have two different images after absorbing both book and film.
