Description "I'm telling you, there's something in that lake!"

The Loch Ness Monster is one of the most well known and widely reported upon cryptids of all time. For the longest time it was unknown how such a creature could possibly exist, as the Loch had been combed over countless times and there is not nearly enough food to sustain something its size. As it turns out though, the Loch Ness Monster, or Nessiosauridae Lochnessiensis, is actually a species from the Prehistoric Lands of the Inner Earth. A long tunnel connects from the bottom of Loch Ness into a vast ocean within the earth which allows pregnant Nessiosauridae to travel to the Loch to lay a clutch of eggs. Here, in the safety of the Loch, the young Nessiosauridae can feed and grow without worry before returning to the Inner Earth to reunite with their mother.

Within the Inner Earth, the adult Nessiosauridae are large predators reaching up to 60 feet in length who, despite their large size, are primarily piscivores. They are most commonly seen hunting in small groups (a mating pair and their offspring) with each doing their job to try to herd fish into 'kill zones' with little to no escape. Their diet is not limited to fish though, and they will snatch up various smaller creatures including sea birds and flying reptiles. Because of this they are exceptionally adept at breaching the water's surface at high speeds. Rather uniquely, they are also capable of beaching themselves and traveling for brief periods on land if necessary allowing them to reach smaller pools of water for food when they are younger.

Due to their relative docility there have been no notable attacks by the Nessiosauridae.

if Nessie really existed in real life, then the creature is probably looooooong dead since decades or even centuries.

Great job.  I’ve always wanted to go to Scotland and see the creature.  Some people say Nessie is dead and they’re looking for the corpse.  Others say she’s still alive.

Thanks! I highly doubt its existence, though I'd love to be proven wrong.
