Description
This is officially my first "serious" attempt at Photo Manipulation, I got the inital idea for the water/fire hands from alastor3000 .And while I couldn't quite nail the water and fire immersion the way he did, I pretty much had to go by my own style there.
Added alot of the brushes later when the design felt empty.
9+ Hours but I like the outcome!

I think it illustrates the point that two very different people who reach out and actually communicate can come to a genuine understanding and be at peace with each other. And by making it rectangular, I assume you mean to extend the horizontal length?
If so, that's doable although it will exceed the natural desktop resolution 1280x1024.

It is creative in a different way. While at my image water and fire fights. In your image it seems they are both in their own kind of problems both full with cracks, reaching to each other for help.
The idea of two suffering hands reaching for each other I really like. The symbols in the centre as well. But honestly my opinion is that it would be better with two matching elements. Fire could have been ice, or something like that.

You know, at first I almost did earth/water elements, but then I thought, maybe it won't look so good, but now I agree with you completely.

You said its your first attempt on photo manipulation. Keep it up. I could tell you how I made the fire and water look stronger, but I won't tell you. Not to be a jackass and keep a idea to myself, since sooner or later you will figure it out on your own. But since it is interesting to see that you simplify a picture and in this way you create your own style. It is always better to work on developing your own style instead of instantly copying others and if I see what you made now as a first attempt, I think you will do fine.
Thank you again in return. I think I just got inspirated to do something with cracks. Stone, or something alike. I hope I can create a sweet image again.. can always try xD.
