For some reason, the panel with the kid getting in touch with his imagination made me smile a lot. Probably because I hold creativity as something dear to my heart, and it always makes me happy to see people, real and fictional, getting to grips with it.

I agree, imagination is really wonderful. I treasure the experience, it saved me many times in my youth from boring summers or the constant visit to the shoe stores my parents dragged me to all the time (which was too often )

I love how dynamic the shots are, even while keeping them steady enough that we don't all get motion sickness. I wish I could help you with the coding, but I don't know squat about it. How come half your kid characters seem to think their parents are plotting against them somehow? Is there some kind of personal story behind that? XD

I don't know how to answer that honestly... I can only count three characters with this issue. Jeanne ,Tom and this brat, unless you count that boy "Remi" in my Blob boi comic.

There should be multiple "what happens next?" I think it's not hard to do with flash DDb

It's actually not that hard to do, I can't remember the process off the top of my head but a quick search on GoToAndPlay functions should help you out.

Also, he's attacked by fake fire but narrowly dodges it. He finds a piece of Bark from a tree and uses it as a shield to protect him from the fiery assault.

oh i know that part, but the big part i want to learn is key presses and have them goto certain frames, for possible quick timed events on a timer... XD it's where i suffer the most.... ActioncScript3.

Fake fire good idea I'll ponder about using it, love the tree idea.

Uhmmm I dunno what should happen next.... ooh ooh how bout:
Dragon Jeanette starts to bombard the "brat" with fireballs, and the brat should duck behind cover. But then we should probably get some clarity that the fireballs are really just "mud bombs" and then Brat finds a shield.
(Trashcan lid) and some weapon, a stick I dunno. Then advance on Jeanette like a warrior! RAWR! SPARTAAAA!
I dunno.

He should say something that somehow coincidently puts the dragon into bad memory lane. Then sir knight can be benign and help the dragon and they all become friends. Yep, cheesiest fluff concocted by moi

I really like this character and you need to do more with him. I also think this format really suits quickie works in your style so keep doing them!

As for what should happen next, what kind of input are you looking for? The two having an imagination fight is the obvious course of action. Perhaps ending in a draw among respected rivals? Perhaps with one gripping his eye after being "slain", the fantasy shattered? Perhaps half way into it his mom appears behind the protagonist looking smug as hell? It's a pretty basic story so you are more or less free to do whatever you please without worrying about wrecking continuity. In fact experimenting and getting a little weird will likely only result in good things here.

This is looking awesome. I'm digging your character design. For my critique I'd like to make a note that it gets a little tedious clicking to see the animation. Tweening would really come in handy here. I'm not a flash expert but if you get tweening working then there will be less clicking and the animation will flow but if you don't have a puppeted character for tweening then you could do some key animating, it's tedious but the result is great.
