This is a commission for Hinata95071, a prom mask to go with her stunningly beautiful prom dress: [link]This was a joy to work on because it just so happens to be in my favourite colour scheme.
This piece is created from a foam halfmask base, crepe taffeta with black lace trim, black lace accents, sterling silver seed beads, assorted glass and resin beads, paper flowers dry brushed with acrylic, hot glue, silver embroidery thread, and acrylic thread.

I just really like this whole piece. xD The colour, the textures, the design. I hate wearing hats but I have no problem with masks lol

Thank you! The commissioner has promised to send me a picture of it combined with her prom dress, so I'm looking forward to seeing it all together! When she showed me the dress, I was SO excited to do a design for it, because I loved everything about this project - mask + indigo, black and silver (my favourite combo ever!) + floor-length taffeta (also my favourite) + delicate embroidery + ruffles and folds? YES PLEASE!

Maybe the house warming next year could be a masquerade-style Carnivale party? Just masks? o3o That'd be a reason. Or maybe a birthday? XD

This one was a crushed taffeta with lace and embroidery. :3 I really like the look of simple embroidery like this. I'm wanting to include some detail work like this in my new Tirivahni garb.

I really liked the style of this. I've always favoured dark colours and since I'm vampire-pale, dark colours generally suit me. xD
Maybe making a mask to match that clothing we'll eventually work out would be an idea? (to link two comment strings)

Yeah, we can definitely work out something along those lines. I mean, especially in this city - there are enough events that if you had a mask, there will be opportunities to wear it!

This really caught my eye. It's got a lovely color combination and the textures also compliment each other very nicely. Is the wig part of the mask as well?

Thank you very much! I really love this colour combo as well - part of the reason I was so excited for the commission. The wig isn't part of the mask, no. I just needed something to put on my display head so that the mask would slide off of the smooth base.
