EDIT: Okay, so this is how I know the dA community is just a bunch of unintelligent fan boys and girls....because this is one of my post popular posts....and it's fucking terrible. It's only popular because it's referencing current pop culture and pop culture obsessions.
Like, seriously. I can't write. Why do people like it?

One question I had in the back of my mind while I drew these was, "Why IS Loki so popular?" (other than, "It's OBVIOUS, duh!") I went on Yahoo Answers to see what kind of answers people could give me, I will share them with you:

1.Best Answer - Chosen by Voters
I think it is because when the movie was made all the attention was not focused on the heroes i.e Thor, Captain America, Iron man, Hulk etc I mean they all had their own individual parts to play in the movie and the whole movie did not revolve around them however Loki is the only villain in The Avengers and therefore appeared more frequently during the movie, his acting skills also do him credit as he is an amazing actor and played his part perfectly. To answer your question on popularity of looks and voice I believe that this also helps him rise to more fame as no matter what celebrity you are you will always have admirers, I personally believe that he is receiving this much attention as he is a rising star much like Sam Worthington after he cast in Terminator Salvation and Avatar. Hope this helps

2. i like loki's story and its heartbreaking to find out that the man you thought was your father isnt. loki is hurt and he takes out his anger with thor and the earth.

also, loki is popular cuz Tom hiddleston is dreamy

you should watch interviews of him and you will see that Tom is so caring, and really down to earth. his voice is perfection and he is just so handsome

3. - his character in thor and the avengers is so charismatic and tom plays him so well that the audience can't help but fall for the bad guy
- his charm in real life
- his niceness to fans
- his looks aren't like gorgeous, but he is good-looking
- his acting chops
- his goofiness
- his vocabulary
- ehehehehe

4. All of the above? Movie-Loki good looking with a somewhat tragic back story and a sexy voice (and British accent!)

and Comic Book!Loki is an adorable little kid that saves the world. Who doesn't like that?

5. Lastly I asked some of my guy friends, and they believe it's because Loki's a sadist is why he's popular, and because of his helmet xD
