UPDATED DESIGN.
Still not sure it will be her final design for the Home-RP, but it is the final design I'm submitting for Johaan-N 's contest to feature a character in his comic, Home.
PLEASE NOTE - the largest image of her is the most accurate in terms of how I see her conformation/proportions/anatomy. The stacked pose shown at the top is actually more full in the body and stockier in the legs than I imagine her to be.

Body: Slim, lean - built for speed and endurance, not strength. Compact form and a Jaro face but longer, finer limbs from the Rehvas.
Tail: Full, usually curled
Ears: Prick, Large/oversized. Curved more like a Jaro but with the distinctive Rehvas 'batlike' shape and size as well as the interior radar lines. light pink colouration is Jaro inherited.
Muzzle: Straight, slender
Back shape: level and compact with very slight slope to hindquarters
Chest: Narrow but well sprung
Tuck-up: Moderate-significant

Basics
(All of which are subject to change to any degree, if she's chosen, in order to fit the role wanted)

-One of two pups. Her older brother was stillborn
-Her mother was killed when she was almost a year old. No one saw what happened, but evidence suggested nightbeasts.
-Remains close to her father, and her father's brother became somewhat of a 'fun uncle' as she grew up.
-Generally minds herself and steers clear of dispute, politics and posturing, and yet she's often on the outskirts seeing and hearing more than others give her credit for
-Mostly seems impartial but is sometimes scornful of pettiness and pack politics
-She likes her space and her freedom. She's good at memorising paths and finding her way
-She's afraid of the woods at night and plans her travels so she can find shelter or fire before the sun goes down. If things go wrong, she can freeze up and panic. If she's stuck out at night, it can cause her insomnia to relapse
-Other dogs treating pups viciously is a trigger. Not a lot gets her really angry but she has a protective streak a mile long. Puppies remind her of the brother she never knew who never even drew a breath.
-She generally comes off as guarded; able to interact with, tease and snark at others without actually opening up to or telling them very much. She's selective about the dogs who get close
-She will generally seek to run and avoid than engage in a fight, but if left with no choice, she can be vicious. She's quick, not easily caught but if she is, is not strong enough to fend off most dogs.
-Her weapon of choice is a slinging blade, but she can also use a blow dart and other long range weapons.
-She generally doesn't wear armour - not being a dog that gets into many fights and finding it heavy after long periods.
-She tends to be seen most with a satchel made from piebald hide, in which she keeps items for her travels - always including a torch in case she's out when it gets dark
-When it comes to Aedra, she's smart and uses her head, planning things out and always being self preservational
-When it comes to other dogs, she is led more by her heart. She isn't usually easy to mislead, and is unafraid of saying what she thinks, even if it is to insult.
-She's proud of her Rehvas heritage, and knows they aren't on Aedra (much), but she doesn't really talk about it, either. Not since her mother was killed.
-She's afraid to have her own puppies in case one of hers is stillborn. In many ways, she carries her brother with her, feeling like he's always been there, even though she never knew him.

So...I'm gonna go ahead and blame Johaan-N for this, I think. Not that it's actually his fault.

Thing is...I stumbled onto his page the other day after a long while and basically read my way through his canine/sci-fi comic Asmundr.

(And I'm not even kidding - go read it. I blazed through it in a number of hours and its just phoenomenal. I would pay good money to have a proper, glossy, in-my-hands edition of it).

...and I then proceeded to read my way through everything that is so far posted of the sequel, Home.

The short of it is, it left me really wanting to work on my canines and their expressions in particular (because HOW. So much expression and such gorgeous anatomy in those pages, really). I kind of wanted to play a little with the Jaro breed type but I loved the huge ears (though in some pictures they don't look right), so if anything this is probably a cross of some sort.

(Jaros are a breed designed and owned by Johaan-N . There are restrictions, but they're free for creation with approval. I intend to pass this girl by the mods)

Originally no design was planned, and then after five sketches, I was thinking something very light, snowy-feeling and then when I got to the last one, I just threw on a brown colour and ended up going from there. Again - the comic has some stunning designs; all so unique without being crazily complex, so I was inspired. There's a few little bits I'm not certain about - the white on her face has been altered a lot but I still can't find what's best

She may join Mosswood at some point or I may just keep her around for fun - not sure yet. As and when I sort her out, she'll get a proper ref of some kind. But after spending most of today (my first whole day free and uninterrupted for ages) on these, I felt like posting

Note on colour:
I have no idea what the heck this is. Its something I've been mentally calling 'Gold Sable' (in this case, Gold Sable on Liver), as I was painting her over and over. If existing genes can't create this, I may just draw up a genetic sheet for Gold sable to explain how I imagine it working. Any suggestions? (another note on gold sable below)

Sitting pose - the sketch just shows the very loose guidelines I used to create the finished sitting image next to it.
Stacked/standing - One of my early sketches. I'm not used to drawing more muscled dogs with thicker fur, so this will hopefully improve.

References were used for the basic shapes of the initial sketches, only. When refining the features and tweaking I was working without photos.

*Gold sable doesn't (to the best of my knowledge) exist. If it doesn't, and I can't think up another gene combination that might result in this medley, I'll claim inventorship rights (and explain it properly). It is not a locus on the actual Agouti/sable gene because in my head it can act on recessive red, too, which agouti can't. Ergo, it has its own genetic code, but it is recessive (meaning you need two copies before it'll have any effect on the coat).

I'm working out the rest... my brain is still on Asmundr dogs not DARPG

As a last point - I'm open to critiques and general feedback, though in most cases, I'm well aware of just how crap some of these are, and for what reason. Me and canine noses, particularly in any angle except side on are still having issues But feel free
