Anyone remember these two OCs? No? Good. lol. I was drawing a lot of mermaids for Mermay n thought I would take a break from mermaids to redesign some OLD magical horses. I haven't touched these two in 6 years.
The Twins of Balance, Queens of Bara no Tara, Yin n Yang! These two were to be like Celestia n Luna, but with the concept of Darkness n Light.
Yin is the oldest twin of the sisters. She was a pony of darkness n evil. But she wasn't evil herself, she protects her kingdom from evil. I focused on giving her armor this time around to reflect that. She's the one that runs everything in the castle. Don't let her appearance scare you, she's just as kind as her sister. But she does struggle with the darkness in her heart. I fixed her shadow hair to transition from hair to shadows at the end. Narrowing it down to colors was a little difficult. But I love how she turned out.
Yang is the youngest. She's a pony of light n good. She's carefree n loves to be with her subjects. She's not interested in life inside the castle. She's never really inside the large building. She prolly lives in the village in a nice home. The subjects love her beauty, naturally. I gave her a drastic change from the curly blue/silver hair to a straight, blonde w/ pink n red. I wanted to make sure she looked the opposite to Yin. Even the direction of her mane n how it doesn't really flow like Yin's was a factor. She's also smaller than Yin. She doesn't wear any armor or even a crown to show her lack of royal recognition?? Idk lol. I just thought giving her the normal royal jewelry didn't fit her character.
I kinda wanna draw their spiritual forms as well. This was so much fun to draaaaw!
I just love drawing horses lol. Once I draw em, I can't stop
