I FINALLY FINISHED THIS EFFING THING!

*ahem*

The obligatory backstory: Meet Typhoon, guaranteed to provide the most original rollercoaster experience this side of Neptune! Features such as the customizeable track layout (even during operation), the "dead-end" scare shown in the picture, and the general coolness factor of a living rollercoaster have made Typhoon famous as something that definitely stands out from all others of his kind.

Typhoon originates from the far east, but has spent most of his life in Gandvik. It is not known what made him travel across half a planet to the Mountain & Valley amusement park (swedish inside jokes ftw) near the city of Gandvik, but it is rumored that an accident with a derailed rollercoaster train has something to do with his unwillingness to return to his homelands. Many people find it hard to believe this, because although Typhoon lives to thrill people, he knows exactly where to stop before it goes out of hand. He has an incredible ability to determine the speed of a moving object (and its slowing-down path) just by observing it.

Most people have an impression of Typhoon as an energetic and happy being, but that is only because the only times they see him is during the summer, during Mountain & Valley's opening hours. Typhoon suffers from mood swings that are much worse trips than anything he gives the humans, and his mood is heavily dependant on the time of the day and the year. Daylight makes him happy, the lack of it does the opposite. Typhoon spends the winters coiled up in a warehouse, hopelessly depressed and afraid of the dark. The two things that help him survive the winters are the kind and very tolerant engineers that work at the amusement park, and loads of sushi.

...And don't worry About one tenth of a second after the moment the picture captures, Typhoon will bite his own tail to form a closed cirquit track for the coaster train. No one will get hurt ^^

About this picture: I have always thought that rollercoaster tracks are impressive structures. I like how the track twists and bends like a living thing, and how the coaster trains move along the track. However, up until a couple of months ago, I couldn't come up with any good way to "tweak" a rollercoaster into something that resembles a live creature. But then, one early morning when I was half asleep, the idea occurred to me: Get rid of all the supporting scaffolding, and voila ^^ you see the body of a huge serpent! The idea was so obvious. I can't understand why I never thought about that before

I had great trouble composing this picture. It required a lot of work on perspective and other stuff that I usually don't pay much attention to. But when I stumbled upon this awesome photo the basic pose was clear to me However, the colouring was a pain, it took forever and didn't turn out that great, especially not the background . Oh, and please include a ¤ sign if you make a comment, to show that you read this
