I like how the song sounds patriotic on the surface, but it's actually about how America fucked over its Vietnam veterans.
We've been fighting pointless wars ever since!
I wanted to fit the entire song into the flag, but I ran out of room. I guess if I really wanted, I could adjust it. I'll leave it the way it is for now though (mostly cause I'm lazy).

This is one of my all time favorite songs. Not just because, yes, as an American Revolution nerd, I still have hope for America today; but also because it shows how Nationalism can inspire kids like us. Sure, Springsteen may not have been singing it while he was younger than... what... 28? Or something... But when he was a kid he hated the thought of his friends or himself going into 'Nam. To think that kids, were capable of politically sound thoughts would have been thought of as ridiculous back then... Not anymore
