Third in the Boys in the Band series - the inks can be found elsewhere in my gallery. This one took forever to do because of all the little fiddly bits everywhere on the drum kit SO YOU BETTER ALL BE IMPRESSED, DAMMIT!Er. Anyway. Colored in Painter IX.

Heehee. I think you'd do very well with Painter or Open Canvas (the cheaper version of Painter), since they're more geared towards emulating natural media than Photoshop or Illustrator are. Get a graphics tablet and a copy of Painter and you'd probably be on your way fairly shortly.

I'll give them a try one of these old days. I had the chance in art school, but I was too busy seeing how much paint I could wear at one time.
