Description Recently I just did a quick little off-hours trade with the awesome - she did my Lili/Arran wolfybabies for me, and I did her Daeryn/Braith babies for her. It was so much fun revisiting Historical/Fantastical Clothing country. How could I stay away for long ;A;

Yay for working with your babies again! I always love Braith, and Daeryn is... rather a handsome lad, if I do say so myself.

First part of the picture I noticed? His butt. Tis excellent. Love the rest as well, including her outer green cloak, which looks really rich and velvety.

HAHA, omg, when I showed Dwen the WIP she said the same thing about his butt. DEM PANTS just don't leave much to the imagination, you know? But thank you so much, whee! They (the characters, not just the pants ) were a ton of fun to work on, especially with the colors! :3

When Tem showed me the WIP I totally commented on his butt, too. This picture made me decide that a canon, important feature of him is 'his cute butt' XD I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed.

Love your colors!! One of my favorite things about medieval art is the bright and rich colors, and you captured that beautifully.

Oh my, thank you so much! I love the colors in medieval art and clothing. Other than the obvious choices for her dress, I don't think I was consciously thinking of it, but maybe I've absorbed enough at this point that it's an unconscious influence. I'm so glad you like it!

AFSHDAFSH! It's been so long since I last commented on any of your pictures! I'm sooo sorry. ;_;
This is a lovely drawing. The costumes are great and I love the way you coloured their hair. The shiny lighting is very pretty.
Also, small question, did you keep the pencil sketch for the lineart? It's so clean!

ASHDSFSLN HELLO AGAIN! Just the other day, your sister watched me and I said OH HI I REMEMBER YOUR SISTER, and she said she found out about me from you, and I said you were a total sweetie. Honestly, it's been ages since I actually FINISHED something and posted it here, so that's on me, not you. I have been posting (unfinished and often-badly-drawn) things to Tumblr, though, if you're on there?

I'm so glad you like how this came out, it was really fun to work on! It made me miss finishing stuff, That is pencil for the lines, yeah! I do most of the sketch with a blue or red pencil, then do graphite lines with a .5mm mechanical pencil, and when I scan it I just drop out the red or blue channel, depending on which color I used for the sketch. It's a great way to get nice clean traditional lines, since I hate doing digital inks. T_T Another artist who does this to great effect is *phoenixelement - she does IMPOSSIBLY clean pencil lines, and sometimes I wonder whether her hand is actually an inkjet printer.

It's very pretty. I never use red or blue for sketching but people always say my sketches look super clean anyway. xD I like keeping the original pencil lines because first of all, I don't like doing digital inks either and second because the drawing's done quicklier and easier.

Lol, I can't blame you! Tumblr is really a bit of a beast. I have some pretty serious trouble with its interface, but I will admit I like feeling like I can post sketches without worrying too much about presentation.

As I said on tumblr this is just gnkhn SO GOOD. I'm so excited to have new art of Braith, and my first time getting art of Daeryn ;A; You draw them both so perfectly and you've really solidified Daeryn's design in my mind, which is awesome. Their personalities just come across so well and the outfits and the patterns and ;A; So much love
