OMG. My all time favorite MTG artist has a deviantart. I have an entire deck just of cards with your art....the actual cards don't necessarily make much sense together, but I had to make one anyway. Feeling like a total nerdy fangirl now, but I am so excited to see you have a deviantart!

It was one of my favorites growing up as a kid and something that inspired me when I was first taking off with my drawings! How exciting!!! Keep up the wonderful work.

Yeah I would have to agree with on that. I've got a lot if this magic card still and its one of my favorits still today. This painting just has one of those "makes you wana do" feelings about it. And I'm so glad you mentioned what kind of medias you put into this I've been trying to figure that out for years now. lol

You use lotta media to do your work, thing that makes me smile and makes the piece richier in details. 
A detail that makes me look to the piece for hours it's the missing part of the card, the flower. It looks like the moonshine over the surface and the flower's polen made the Moonsprite come out and rise. And there she goes... Aww, wonderful!

Yes, you miss half of this piece in the card version. They wanted me to paint it vertical for promotional stuff but you don't get the full effect cropped up like that.

I've thought, for a while now, that it would be fun to work with gold leaf. It's beautiful here (though you don't get the full effect online, I imagine). I like the organic, spongy texture of the background and her beautifully colored wings. There is a nice- almost (yet not really) archaic- quality to this which I find very enticing in artwork.

If you like the look of gold leaf you really should play around with it! I'm certain you'd totally love the experience. You can get all sorts of different coloration's of it. They call it variegated gold leaf if you're not familiar with it already. Some are reddish some blueish some are a blacker shift. And you're right... it looks great printed and online but they pale in comparison to looking at an original.
