Personality:
Morgan is generally a very positive person who wishes to spread joy wherever they go, either via good deeds or their music. At the same time, they can be very quiet and manipulative - they are good at choosing the perfect words to say to 'bend' people in the way they want, whether these words are spoken or sung. They are loyal to who they want to be loyal to, but beside that they still believe in good in everybody and would never inflict death or harm as anything other than self defence. (Think robin hood, taking from the rich and giving to the poor).
The way their personality is conveyed varies between their two forms;
In her aria forme, Morgan is, graceful, gentle polite and courteous. She likes to discuss things peacefully and avoid any sort of conflict, her polite exterior being the perfect guise for her less than savoury deeds. She fusses over physical appearance and etiquette, disliking dirt or rough situations. She rarely fights in this form, resorting to physic powers should she get into a confrontation, although her voice tends to be more prominent in this form and her singing abilities tend to be more effective. She also has mild telepathy.
As pirouette, Morgan is considerably more violent and brash, preferring actions over words, a bit of a contrast to his other form. He is eager to pick fights and may jokingly tease people, and perhaps due to the masculine side of is personality, is very reluctant to talk about certain issues, turning what he can into humour. Despite this, he still retains a strong sense of justice. Pirouette forme Morgan relies on his physical battling skills, but when the situation seems right will still happily break into loud chanting.
Hobbies:
- Singing and listening to music, of course.
- Fighting (specifically kickboxing or karate, primarily in their pirouette form though)
- Hairdressing, loves messing with hair, either their own or somebody else's.
- They keep a very detailed diary about who they meet and what they learn.
History:
Morgan and her brother were born to a wealthy pair of noble parents, a meloetta mother and a floatzel father, though sadly her mother passed away in labour. Being raised alone by floatzel, she never knew much of the lore surrounding her species, though she did have a natural instinct and interest in singing. When she was 12, they travelled to the village of her mother's family, where she met her grandmother, a meloetta herself. Her grandmother taught her many ancient songs, including the mysterious relic song that could transform a meloetta's body just by singing it.
Morgran spent the next few weeks rehearsing and practising the song, and it wasn't long before she perfected it - sang every note to the perfect tune, and her appearances transformed too. Morgan was stunned by the difference it made to her - although it quickly became obvious that parts of her personality had changed too. She had developed a more masculine identity, she and had become more brash and, at times, impolite, no longer like the gentle lady she was before.
In this form, they began identifying as a male, and this caused considerable confusion amongst his peers who had grown to know them as a girl. Her father, though confused by the decision, supported him as much as he could. However, this only lasted a few months before he chose to repeated the tune and returned to his original form. Over the next few years they began to get used to this ability, they often changed every month or so depending on what they felt like, or what was needed. Whenever a situation called for a graceful young lady, she would transform into Aria form, although though the pirouette form he developed a love for physical fighting and practised as a boy.
However, this ability had... other uses. You see, their father, while kind, was not entirely an honest man. Much of his riches had been obtained by a variety of illegal means, and Morgan became one of them. Morgan would enter a regal dinner a gentle young lady, seemingly harmless, but would constantly rat out secrets and information she was not expected to understand - her father would use them to blackmail the other nobles and retain his position. One the occasions that Morgan was discovered, a breif transformation of a set of words would get her out of any tight situation. Morgan spent most of her older years infiltrating and manipulating, meaning her 'porper' socialisation stills were a bit stunted.
Of course, it wasn't long before her moral compass started pointing otherwise and she saw how greedy her father had become. It wasn't long before he started seeing her more as a tool than his daughter, and the things he asked her to do became more risky and unreasonable. As much as she loved him, she had no desire to continue working for him and wanted to so something a bit more moral - this was combined with the natural, ever-growing desire to find a place in the world. After emotional goodbyes and thank-yous, Morgran travelled on to find a place where she could be of use, that travel lead her to Tork and soon, Yarelts.
Extras/Fun Facts:
- Identifies as female in Aria Forme, and male in Pirouette form. Prefers the pronoun 'they' when referring to them generally, but he/she when referring to particular instance.
- Typically finds themself changing gender every month or so, but they can change in a pinch when they need to.
- Suffers from mild memory loss between formes, for example, when Pirouette forme gets very angry, or Aria forme gets very emotional, the other forme cannot recall it.
- Despite coming from a highly educated background, Morgan is actually pretty ditzy and most of their excellence comes from remembering rather than understanding. They have an amazing memory but dosen't understand half the things they remember.
- Due to identifying as a female for a majority of their life, Morgan is slightly more insecure as a male and makes up for this with vexatious bragging. In her Aria forme, she seems quieter but is actually much more conformable. They prefer the company of women and chose to stay in the girl's dorms as a result.
