Description
Last year I had the great honor to be asked to paint the art for the card created by 2010 AGOT Joust Champion Alec Irwin.The card was revealed today on the FFG site, and so I can share it with you.
Allow me to introduce Ser Lyonel Baratheon, also known as 'The Laughing Storm' .
Extra points for anyone who knows what tourney this is and which part of the AGOT canon it's from

ASOIAF? I've never heard of it, but confess to being intriuged(can't spell today). I also second (or third, or eighth, etc) what everyone else has said about your work on textures of skin, clothing, and facial expressions. Hyper realism is so much fun.

He's one of my faves from the Dunk and Egg saga. You managed to be consistent with Miller's style (Mike S. Miller, artist of the first 2 Dunk and Egg comics) and yet gave it your own spin. Congrats for having beel chosen!

It's gorgeous, I just wish everyone's eyes were actually watching the event. Love the armor and the shield, though.

The big guy in front with his arms up is definitely looking up and over the fighters, like he's looking at the antlers but not the fighters. That's what I meant by not watching. Their eyes aren't focused.

Well, this was a Renaissance-style tournament, not battle, the knights in A Song of Ice and Fire tend to show off a bit in such occasions.
I seriously doubt Lyonel would have worn an antlered helm in a real battle.
