Hey, my first work of 2008! And I'm happy with it?! Inconceivable! The only thing I'm beginning to wonder is if the blood level here is high enough to warrant a Mature-rating... Since we don't see a ton on Marshall and Danny's is, well, electric green (and has been shown on a Y7 show, no less) I'm gonna go without (although let me know if you think it DOES need it).Page 201

panel2: I like how this panel came out ^^
panel3: AGH! no matter how hard I tried, there was always something off about how Danny's wound looks! Ugh... At least the rest of the panel came out ok...
panel4: I feel basically the same about this one as panel 3.

panel1: I. LOVE. THIS. PANEL! I cannot explain why. It's just my fav so far
panel2: I'm pretty happy with how the ectoplasm around Danny's hand came out ^^ The effect I use to get it to look like that can be kinda fussy to use, and it's been known to weird out sometimes but it worked ok here...
panel3: Marshall's in trouble... And just who is 'they'?
panel4: no comment.
Aaaannd, that's all for now! Also, I got myself some new brushpens, so yay! It'll be a lot easier to do some of the work now.

Aww.. The last panel on the first page made me want to hug him... (Not that every panel doesn't do that, but...) Even despite the fact that he's currently in psychopathic "who knows what the hell is going on in his head" mode.
Also, in my devwatch thingy, when I saw you updated, this was the very first thing I clicked on. XD This comic is my online chopcolate (which I bought 12 of in one class period...) Keep up the good work~!
Buuuut one thing I just thought I should point out is that the effect you used for the blood look a little out of place with your style or... some.. thing.. I dunno.

It's comments like that "don't want to feel pain" that remind us how gone his brain is. You're doing a great job of making him unstable. Your characterization is as good as your art! (VERY!)

Love that big hand on the second page. Although I will point out that that little pinky finger is very small in comparison to the other chunkier fingers. But I still love it. gives a good sense of mass and volume.
And I am curious as to what you did to create that effect for Danny's growing ectoplasmic blast, if you care to explain the process.

^__^ Thanks. I think you're right about the pinky finger, although I do know people whose pinky fingers are literally an inch shorter then the rest of their fingers... But still. I'll try to be careful about hands...

They... Backup? More GIWs, perhaps, or some other force? I would smell conspiracy, but Marshall is too straight-laced for that.
And what, pray tell, is that fiery orb in BlackEyeDanny's hand? Is it meant to heal him, or to kill off Marshall? You keep saying how Marshall is hard to draw, and that makes me wonder if he's a goner-- I've heard a lot about manga-ka/comic book artists giving the red shirts difficult designs, just because they don't have to draw it for very long...
Or does this little orb have something to do with IT, perhaps? Or something else altogether?

It's true he doesn't seem like a guy who'd be involved in conspiracy, but then again, we've seen him more or less blackmail Vlad a few chapters back, plus he works for a shady government agency, so... Who knows...
It's just an ecto-blast, albeit a strong one. Strong enough to kill? Maybe... However, let it be known that even if Marshall was a goner (and I'm not saying he is) I wouldn't kill him off just 'cause he's hard to draw. Because I don't like him or because it helps the plot? perhaps. But not because of the art. He's tough to draw because it's tougher dealing the proportions between his head and body due to... I dunno why, but I'll figure it out eventually XD
