My sister wanted me to draw a black cat and a witch so I made this.After colouring the skin I decided that I wanted my CGing to be a bit more interesting than the same old method that I use every time, so I went with some of the most extreme colours I could think of to get this poppy look. Of course, I didn't want to overdo it, but I''m a little disappointed with the hair and the purple since they seem so... ordinary compared to the rest.
Hehe, in the end, my sister hated the witch because of the colours but overall she was quite pleased because of the cat and the gel things. Hope you all like it. ^_^

It's really cute ^^ I have a suggestion though...since you said the hair is plain compared to the other things, why not try to make that hair multi colored? ^^ I've used that method and it works well.

This thumbnail caught my eye right away. I love the coloring on this one; the purple and green go together perfectly, and really emphasize her cute smile. It looks best on her green hair, the shiny ribbon, and the glowing moon. The shading on her skin is flawless, too. It has enough shine to make it look healthy, and true to the anime style, but not so much that she looks like she was greased up for the camera, and the contrasts for the shadows is just right.
As for critiques; I only have one small detail: I think the reason why her purple clothes seem ordinary in your eye is because there aren't any sort of folds in them. I understand that those would be tricky to show on a snugly fitting costume like this one, but maybe just a line or two for folds, in addition to the gradient from white to the shadow would help that. I also noticed that the bottom of her hat looks flat, because I really don't see any shading on that; so maybe it's just that the shadows blend in too much with the base colors

True, I could've added a few skin-tight kinda folds on the side or something. And thinking back, I could've just added a gradient to the bottom of the hat/.

Exactly. Too many folds would have made her look like a "prostitot" (>_< ), so I had to be careful with my explanation. I'm glad you understood it. ^^

For some reason the hair to me looks like fabre castel (not sure of the spelling) texters to me, looks cool, How on earth did you do that with......the program you use......*hides*.

In contrast with your sis, I actually like the colors of this piece. *chuckles* The only thing that tends to catch my eye a little oddly is the way the hat is sitting on her head. It's not as noticeable I think when you take in the whole picture, but when I look more at her head, sometimes it doesn't look like the when I look at it it doesn't seem like it's in a position to stay on her head? Hopefully I'm making some sense. o.0;;

You mean like it might fall off from the wind? Well, in my original sketch it was sort of covering her forehead but when I changed her hairstyle, I wanted the hat to reveal her whole head, so yeah.
