More summery art! This time Thom and new dressage horse Tiktok practicing some springy extended trot in the shallows while Delmore supervises/encourages with Bengali.---
The shallows were warm and the sun near boiling as Thom and Delmore trotted bareback through the calm waves. It certainly hadn't been calm when they'd arrived on the beach but Delmore had soon smoothed the rough waves to give them calmed water to work in.
As Delmore and Bengali headed off further into the water to play and chase fish Thom turned Tiktok along the shore setting the young stallion off into a floating trot and then swiftly changing gears into a massive climbing canter. They practiced lead changes and the long extended trot Thom was looking forward to riding in competition.
Thom normally didn't ride with Del alone, still not comfortable with his whole weird thing but Bengali was great at keeping the young horses calm and Del was the only one who could ensure a smooth day of beach training so he'd shaken off his discomfort and dragged the quiet god off for a ride. Seems it was well worth it. Tiktok was behaving, his usual extravagant self but listening and Thom hadn't been bounced off into the wave yet so that was a plus.
While the sun was out he was going to take the time to train and prepare Tiktok ready for the competitive season of the coming year.
