ill do a digital color study, print it out, then match the colors to the print out

but how do you pick which colours? your gallary is filled with vibrant, out of the box choices. Is it just trail and error?

I normally do about 5-10 color studies

just the one show. The calavera guys used to just book shit and lump my stuff in w/ theirs. I think I've done 4 shows w/ those guys.

do you print it out small and then copy the drawing onto the big canvas or do you print it out big on the canvas and paint over the lines ?

print a small one out for color ref then project the line and lightly sketch with pencil, i use to use large print outs for base colors but you get to tied down to the under drawing. i usre watercolor now to start of with, it wipes away really easily

Working big is always fun. I like to still drop it on a table though. Hard for me to anything on a verticle surface. Last time I did something like that, I used carbon paper to transfer everything over. Projector would have been nice. Looking good so far. Of course.

if its in motion BLUR OUT THE SPOKES before its done! Unless the hair blowing is like a surreal sort of thing. Other than that looks great. I love the scale its in too. Hope u finish it.
