Hey Erik, I saw your video...amazing work! After I saw it..you really inspired me to do it by myself... I bought the paper you use but something that I found really annoying was that the paper peels really easyly when you use the tortillion to blend the colors....Also, I have tried to use a white color as a base for the skin but...also...the paper start peeling...then I used a sharpie white china marker (like a color pencil but a little more soft) and It is really hard to stick the first layer of color after the white.....I was wondering if you could help me with some advices....thanks!

my first suggestion is to wet the entire paper with watercolor.
After it dries apply the white pencil THEN rub it in with a t-shirt or something soft, make sure the surface is even when you are done.
Don't dig to much with the pencils, just lightly apply a few different colors then with a blending stump, rub in circular motions to blend.
The paper is not perfect but when you work with it for a while you'll understand it's nature.
It's the best paper Ive found yet
hope this helps

Great vid, always enjoy your process work, not a lot artists seem to put it out there anymore. I do have one naive question: What was the brown stuff you used to make your transfer on to the watercolor paper?

wowza. you're making me wanna dig out my colored pencils again!
so i caught what kind of paper, and prismacolors are fantastic, but what exactly are you blending with? just a regular blending stub? and in some shots it looks like you have a cloth or tissue.
tell me more!
looking forward to the next one!!

it works somewhat but tends to eat away at the pencils a bit much
