Description More practice with inking and shading

This time, our teacher required us to use flash, which turned out to be more of a burden then helpful
Thankfully he let me switch to illustrator, though he personally couldn't understand why (we all have our preferences )

May re-upload tomorrow, once he gives his comments on it.

I always loved your original sketch of this, and it looks so lovely now!

I enjoy doing lineart in Flash. I used to do a lot of Illustrator/Inkscape lineart but by now it just seems too painstaking.

True. I just had a lot of trouble when I was using flash. It would attach to random points while I was tracing and then when I'd convert the lines to fill some of the lines would disappear.

Personally though, I like inking in Photoshop the best.

Yeah, I don't really use the pen tool in Flash, I've found it to be a pain. I just use my tablet, and the lines tend to come out pretty nice, because Flash automatically straightens the errors of my wobbly hands. Of course, because of that you also forfeit some of your control, as Flash keeps doing things for you.

I like inking traditionally the best, although it takes me the longest and I have to be careful, and I have to make sure I have a good pen that's not running out of ink, still it feels the most natural to me.

Did you Live Trace the lines or just vector them? They look awesome!

Klungo looks so happy. lol

What happened to his left foot? :0

I'm not looking forward to when I start learning Flash in class. D:

Don't worry, flash is a lot of fun. I'm sure you'll like it

No live trace. I used flash to outline the sketch, then I converted the lines to fill (flash isn't very good at this ) and saved it as an .esp file and brought it into illustrator to make the lines thicker. Took. Forever.

As for his left foot... I believe it's hidden behind his left arm

That seems like it took a lot of workaround D:

Oh! lol, I can see where his foot would be now. Sorry about that.

I can't wait to see what else you post in the future!

Such clean lineart...and the image itself it hilarious! It makes so happy when someone uploads nice BK fanart.

Though, I imagined Weldar with those huge-framed 80's glasses.

I tried it, but they didn't fit too well.
