Immediately following the end of the civil war, many units in the young Space Force branch remained wearing the blue, half standing collar uniform introduced in 2021. Massive amounts of critiques and members in the force itself were very disgusted at the introduction of the Space Force's first official uniform in 2021, and with an opportunity to change the uniform entirely, 2033 was a field year for them. Designers, along with the other branches going through the same thing, crafted up many versions and test examples to implement in 2034. Some were modifications of the very unpopular 2021 uniform, but others were interesting and reasonable designs that had potential. In July of 2033, the designers, and the lead commanding generals of the Space Force agreed to the final concept. As the Space Force was technically a linked branch to the Air Force, as the Coast Guard was linked to the Navy, the uniforms were designed to reflect a little and a lot like the Air Force. Just like the Air Force, the tunic had 4 pockets, same collar shape, leather and gilted belts (ceremonial), and all silver button and insignia layout. The ceremonial configuration as seen here, was an all black uniform rather than using grey, which was used on the service dress previously. The reason behind using black for ceremonial uniforms was to literally to reflect the black void of space. Essentially the reasoning behind both the black and the grey uniforms were to reflect the colors seen often in the theatre of operation; Space.
Many adored the new uniform mostly because of the previous one being a horrible design. Although plenty of individuals respected the Space Force's effort to create their own tradition with the 2021 version, the newer dress black ceremonials were preferred heavily. In August of 2034, the first 4,000 soldiers had received the black uniforms, and gave high remarks to the overall aesthetics. By December of 2034, nearly all soldiers in the Space Force were able to receive their ceremonial black dress uniforms.
In 2055, the Space Force transitioned to a sci-fi concept, which somewhat looked like the old 2021 uniform, but also applied many different aspects to fit the new era of clothing design.

PLEASE NOTE: I would like to implore that comments relating the aesthetics of these uniforms to that of the Allgemeine SS are really not only unnecessary but also silly arguments. This is for an AU and I wish no one to relate that organization with this fictional one in any form.
