Description A Regium formation of corvettes and Battleur assault fighters attack a trio of Divinium longships and their escort, the former using the cover of a comet to mask their approach. The swiftness of the attack has caught the Divinium warships off guard as they have not yet managed to launch their fighter screen and they are scrambling to bring their weapons to bear on the attackers. It is a brave move indeed as the longships are far more heavily armed than their opponents. But fortune favours the brave, or so they say.

Thanks. To be honest, I don't really think about it in most cases - they just kind of form as I draw. If it "feels right", I stick with it. Otherwise, I change it. Sounds lame, I know, but there it is. Thanks again.

No.  I get it.  I have the same approach with my work, though it's code, not art.  Can be a bit frustrating though.  Sometimes feels like I'm not making progress.

It sure can. In my books coding is an art, too. I've dabbled in it a fair bit - website stuff mainly, so not "real" programming (according to some, although I disagree). Programming is the mother of all frustrating pursuits IMHO, with the exception of teaching toddlers and building sand castles perhaps. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of coding do you do?

Web coding requires the same set of skills, so you can tell "them" that I said they are wrong.  I can't speak of the rest as I haven't raised my own children (yet), nor have I made any real attempt at making sandcastles. 

As for the coding I've done, I've made my own web pages, back before all the tools were created to automate much of the process we see in use today.  The last web page I created was back in 2000.  Likely doesn't exist today. 

I also have written embedded software for a display and cruise control module for a lawnmower that never went into production.  The company got sold before the project was completed. Meh. 

I've also worked on several game projects.  The only one that has gotten published is War for the Overworld.  My role is uncredited due to the fact that I left the project before the Kickstarter.  I wrote the original object factory that generated all the assets used in the game.  I have no way of knowing how much of my code still remains. 

I like to think that it's still driving the game as I implemented.  However, the Unity engine has changed so much that this is unlikely.  At the time we wrote that game, there was a strict limit of approximately 65,000 game objects.  A simple map of 256 by 256 blocks was enough to consume all those game objects if you were to try to load them all at once.  We were rather naive then.  Today we'd write that as a single object that can be modified at will. 

I'm working on a game project right now.  It's in Alpha right now and is undergoing testing.

You have worked on quite a varied range of applications, by the looks of it. I guess - as you say - the fundamentals are the same no matter what you are programming. I still want to try my hand at game programming ... one day (the same "one day" that I want to learn to surf and play the saxophone). Can't do it all, I guess.
