:] It does show a little bit but i had to really take a bit of time to even notice it and i was trying to give you a really ice critique so I'm sure it's not totally noticeable on first glance.

That's the way it is alot of the time for people, they don't actually see the faults or mistakes until they examine it, and not as many people do that as we would think. Then of course, lots of people get by with just the typical "ZOMG, awesome, I like this, good job" remarks that they couldn't be bothered to actually LOOK at the picture for any appreciable amount of time.

I love the play of light on the water and the texture of the trees. There's a nice, tranquil mood on this.

This is my favorite piece of yours! Something about the perspective makes me feel like I'm standing in the picture.

Thanks. Yeah, I think I'm pretty good at drawing feet, since I get alot of practice when I upload deviations with them. Hands are alot harder, though, since there is more articulation involved.
The key to drawing nice looking feet and hands are to study actual photo references until you're able to draw them on without a reference. One of the things about anime style artwork in general is the lack of definition in the anatomy, so it's better to learn proper anatomy when it comes to those areas. The more realistic you can make something look, the more it stands out.

Ideally, it would be better for artists to start off realism and then decide on a genre or style, since they have the fundamental habits and practices in place. Having it the other way around complicates things later and slows development since you're going from cartoons to realism. It's easier in the proper order, but most artists go immediately to what visually entertains and interests them more, which is usually anime these days. It's an easy style overall and doesn't demand much. But, if they want to stand out they have to have a working knowledge of how to make better figures in general. If they didn't have this training before they started drawing anime, then they're making up for lost time.

sadly yes, but I never understood realism and I only really started to draw about a year ago... almost two now and I can't for the life of me draw realism, I try and I try and it looks horrible, I actually learned quite a bit about how to do anime and while it may not 'need' much of anatomical correctness, nor in lighting and shading, it still is a bit of a challenge... I know a lot of people who do realism but they can't draw anime but they want to
and I do anime and I want to do realism haha
