The use of curved lines reminds me of some of the classic japanese art I've seen, like the Fūjin-raijin-zu image.

Thanks for the encouragement! I worry that the second figure from the left looks like a caterpillar with nipples. XD

oh well, maybe a bit..
*siiiiigh*
i got my boyfriend next to me worried for a moment now because i had to laugh so hard at the idea of a catarpillar with nipples - didn´t laugh that much in weeks i think... *chuckles some more*

you know why drawing comic styled with few lines is "easy" and why drawing naturalistic is hard?
because a human figure can look ver indistinguished from afar.
so i think if your body is looking a little "catarpillary", that´s nothing to worry about.

i don´t want to become a constant apraiser of your artworks, that would get boring soon (and i would have to research new vocabulary to be able to say more than "nice, pretty, beautiful, vibrant, etc.. ), but i just haven´t found a human figure sketch in your gallery yet i wasn´t impressed by.
because even if some are faulty or not what you imagined they would be, seconds before you jotted them down, they always have this "alive" quality. they somehow look organic.

Ah, you spoil me! People are fun to draw became they have that "lively" quality. Animals and plants are like that too. I admire people who can inject life into architecture and environment--that must be really hard.

heheh...

hmmm, well i think it depends if you´re drawing ancient buildings which are already half falling in - they have lifely qualities through their "life experience" that´s left it´s signs: patched and sunk in roof, irregular aged color, whithered windowframes, broken and run down elements, ... maybe even a few plants - ivy or grass growing from the gutter
in contrast to a new steel and concrete building with boring square windows and super correct angles.

but making things come alive is certainly an intersting topic, in all varieties!
