Description
Most of the moon Deimos had been sacrificed by the consortium in the first phase of terraforming. The dark carbon-rich material had been mined and dropped on the Martian polar caps, to begin melting the carbon dioxide ices and thickening Mars' tenuous atmosphere.The remaining rocky core of Deimos served then as the basis for an orbital port, and was renamed Linguee by the Chinese leaders of the terraforming project. Now, half a century after the start of the project, the tiny port was rapidly growing too small to handle the interplanetary traffic that relied upon it for fuel, maintenance and docking.
