Willow is the protagonist of a story I'm working on and she's loosely inspired by the folktale of the jurougumo. Back story is that she's a professional exorcist who was pushed into a position where she had to merge with a spirit in order to survive. And now she's... not exactly human any longer.

I suggested that her ritual robes had been shredded by combat and other things and thus she's shown wearing her casual/travel clothes that she had under the robes.

She would have two other forms: the completely human form she had before the merger happen (and which she won't easily be able to get back to) and a true monstrous form where the spirit is more in the driver seat.

As a note, the setting of her story is not Earth, though it could be mistaken for 21st Century Earth. Just one with magic and gods as a public and proven aspect of the world.
