Because to not draw one would be blasphemy. Irken eyes are fun to color, and I couldn't stop myself from making the eye overly anime-like, so I decided to put it to good use and made myself a chibi
I'm not sure if I like both antennas... I thought it would be cuter if I lifted one antenna higher in that sort of cocked-ear pose that looks so alluring on puppies, but it looks more like I just got confused. I kept it because I have REALLY mixed feelings about it. I wanted to use super light colors for this (pale Easter colors) but I accidentally painted the eyes too dark and didn't notice until I was finished. (Don't you just hate it when you're so hyper focused on one portion of the drawing that you don't notice what it looks like as a WHOLE? Then it ends up looking amazing by itself, but off in the actual picture! Or when you draw an entire character and then notice it's floating AFTER drawing it?) I love how it looks now, but it's defying my mental image of it before I drew it, and that's annoying, dang it. Anyway, another Irken chibi has entered this world.
