My maternal grandfather had a birthday, so I drew him this. I then visited their house and decided it needed some corrections.
Drawn with 2B pencil on sugar cane paper (I think?), highlights with big, thick Stabilo Woody 3in1 pencil, and accents drawn in with Pigma Micron 0.05 archival ink pen.
I'm quite happy with it. Didn't bother to edit it the photo of it in Photoshop, though, which in hindsight maybe I ought to, for the sake of better showing it like it is in reality.

It's some sort of non-bleached, and the first time I ran into it it was called sugar cane paper, though I'm not sure my pad is the same. But it is a great thing to work with - imagine, you already have one colour, so, with pencil or charcoal you get two instead of one, as usual! And then you can add white, via gouache or something else. Four "colours", with only two pencils. It's great fun at any rate. And then, of course, the ink made it even better - it was rather too bland before that.
