Description DID IT!!

Now to cross that off my list~!

NOTE: In the FantasTech universe, Gryphons are NOT half-lion, half-eagle what have you. Rather they are very distant relatives of dragonkin. Basically, think feathered dragons that actually have scaly skin underneath those feathers. Something a little like this I imagine?   Courtesy of :iconsarafraggle: and many, MANY other talented dA speculative evolution artists who have come up with similarly great ideas.

The Gryphons on this one are from, sayy...
- World of Warcraft (Golden, Ebon)
- My previous attempt at a guide to Gryphons   (Hieracosphinx, Minoan, Keythong, Enfield, Owlursa)
- The Ol' Bib (Daniel's)
- Hairy Poot (Hippogryph)
- Other obscure Mythologies (Opinicus)

Well...not to say that they're all direct, but the inspiration in design is there. Plus I figure if I'm gonna be using the same crud over again, might as well add a new paint job to it, and some new facts!

ANYWAY, enjoy some birdy bois. Tell me which one's your favorite!

Pretty interesting how you made them a relatives to Dragons instead of being a hybrid creature

So the False Owlurus just flops its prey to death?

...bless its sweet, fat heart XD

It does indeed. X'D

Not even divebombing its prey like a dignified avian predator! Just stops flapping its wings, spreads its arms out and straight up belly flops on them!

Oh boy...now that I think about it, it's probably no fun at all if they end up missing their target.

I mean, it probably isn't fun if they hit the target either XD

I mean, imagine trying to belly-flop onto a chihuahua from the second floor of your house

Now that I think about it, I imagine so!

At least in the sense of "I know you're playing me, but you're right". Stroke their ego enough, and whether or not they know they're being manipulated, they're just prideful enough to prove their superior power all the same!

They mainly live in the Heavenly Kingdom. However, they fly to other Kingdoms to feed. Particularly places like the Bright Kingdom, Royal Kingdom, Savannah Kingdom, and the Hunter Kingdom.

Well now, ALL of these Griffons are great in their own ways! Though, if I had to choose a favorite, probably would be beeeee...The False Owlursus. It and the Owlbear itself are pretty awesome, as well as remind me of an Owlbear character in one of my own fantasy stories named Talon. (He's best friends with a Dryad called Gallad, and the two knuckleheads get into all kinds of trouble together. )

Aww, thank ya so much dude! DEFINITELY an all-day project, considering I got up kinda late, but worth it nonetheless!

Oh boy, the False Owlursus is definitely a 10/10  for sure. Just the idea of this fat gryphon struggling to stay aloft in the air, and hunts by just falling on people. Not even divebombing with claws like a dignified aerial predator! Just straight up falling and hoping they land on top of their prey. XD

Somehow this seems appropriate for a goofy character like Talon! Dunno what story he came from, but he sounds like a pretty fun guy right off the bat. :>

Yup, DEFINITELY very fitting for Talon. X3

And the story he's from...well, I certainly could tell you quite more about it sometime. But for now will say this: goofy as they may be, Gallad AND Talon are forces to be reckoned with in battle, especially when working together.
