Description I never have such big canvas to play with clay and this notebook was a great excuse to try out some patterns that I wanted to make but didn't know where .

The journal base is teNeues CoolNotes notebook with 192 ruled and blank pages, personal data page and keepsake pocket in the back. It's 13x9 cm (5,1x3,5 in). It's perfect for writing down your ideas for new stories (or fanfics! Or anything romantic! Let the heart on the cover inspire you!) and doodling on the blank pages.
The cover is made of precolored polymer clay, wine coloured glass bead and 5 vintage Swarovski zirconias. The whole cover is painted with protective varnish.

The cover is handmade from scratch, shaped by hand, without the use of any molds, stamps or cutters.
It's ONE OF A KIND.

This is gorgeous and I love the symmetry you've managed to acheive in the design without moulds. Amazing work.

So we see what's been keeping you so quiet lately      So beautiful! I'd be afraid to use it as a notebook; knowing me I'd break it first thing!

I tend to post a few things at once because I'm usually making a few things at once XD. My friend who got the first test journal I made says that she carries it around in her bag and she has everything there, keys, pens, spare change and other things, and that usually everything gets scrachy after a while but the notebook looks like new XD. So I hope they are more durable than they look
Thank you so much for the lovely comment .

I think it should be okay. I had my things send from Poland to the States, Brasil, Japan, South Africa and other places and everything got where it should . It does take a while though ><.

The edges of the silver design in front isn't as neat as is usual for you. It still looks absolutely stunning, just a little observation :]

Thank you! I'm not sure if that is visible on the photo but the clay isn't actually black but very very dark blue with a hint of metallic gray . Thank you!

This is truly amazing!

May I ask how you created the pattern? Or is this your big secret?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tishaia In reply to Thyme-Sprite [2014-03-26 18:42:38 +0000 UTC]

Ahaha no problem . I made two layers of midnight blue clay, then I cut the shapes out of one of it, I put them in right places and then I smushed the edges so it would seem continous? Damn I should make in progress photos because it's hard to explainnn. The protruding blue pars were put on the flat sheet just like the silver parts but with the blue I pressed the edges down to make it look like one piece of leather. I hope it says something
If you have any questions please ask and I will try to answer ^^.

That totally makes sense!
But darn it, I never thought you could smooth the edges out like that...
Really, I think this is one of your most stunning pieces so far!
