This journal is the most complicated piece I ever made, and certainly the one that took me the longest, but I really love how heavy and solid it turned out. The raspberry bush is woven around the center triskelion and reaches out to the back of the book. I hope the combination of metal-looking corners and triskelion, the soft flowing quality of wood, the sweet berries and the sharp thorns can inspire the future owner. Perfect for writing fanfiction ;D.The journal is based on custom made 300 pages blank book. It's 14,5 x 11 cm and 3,5 cm thick - without the clay cover. The cover itself is made out of precolored metallic polymer clay and 28 olivine Swarovski zirconias. Everything made by hand, starting from the wood boards through the silver polymer clay details, leaves, branches and thorns, and ending on the raspberries. The polymer clay parts are painted with matt protective varnish.
The cover is handmade from scratch, shaped by hand, without the use of any molds, stamps or cutters.

I've always been curious though, how do you get the clay on the book? Do you sculpt the parts, bake them in the oven, then glue them to the book?

You guessed it right, I measure everything and bake parts separately and then when they are ready and painted I glue them on
