Work made for Zems Online Card Game by ImpulseLtdYeeaah epic battle me likes!!
This is supposedly a spell card for the game, so the whole point is not the characters, but the theme; an epic battle focusing on two equally matched warriors! As always, I don't portray ladies with boob windows or pointless bra mail (unless she's a mage. yeaah i don't mind skimpy sorceresses!
).And no, this is NOOOOTT a couple fighting over love affair or some Troy s**t, no.
Though the more I think about it, the more it reminds me of my ex... made me piss my pants, dat woman.

hehe this particular client incorporates Roman-themed soldiers into the game, but i don't get to draw them all the time, unfortunately. there are other things like ... creatures.. and magic people. :/

Really nice work. Good depiction with regard to the Roman soldier. Excellent work with regard to the female warrior. Her armour is accurate and practical, the shield and sword are also correctly proportioned for her size. Too often you see absurd drawings depicting some diminutive female warrior holding and seemingly able to wield a huge two-handed sword.

yeeah I try to get it right! I mean I don't mind drawing girls in skimpy outfit, but maybe when they don't wear it to battle, you know, lol
and the shield.. I did it slightly larger, thinking it would match evenly with the man, but then the client pointed out that hers is more metal, so it must be heavier and unwieldy. they really consider plausibility quite thoroughly

I really like your work with the woman warrior,, and THANKS for NOT giving her an absurd figure,,, like you see too often in art.
This way, she seems far more real, and competent.
