Description A bit of cosplaying while we did a photo shoot of Wheel of Time costumes at JordanCon 2011. This is my pal ~kalessaradan, Paul Bielaczyc of Aradani Studios, as Rand, and he is perfect for the role (tall, slightly crazy....). I hope he doesn't balefire me out of existence now for that little comment.

By the way, in addition to costumer geeks, we are also the co-directors of the JordanCon Art Show. And or course, Paul, is also a well-known artist in his own right.

He does and he has the height for it. He has worked really hard on his coat and he always draws the dragons up his arms. We always have a blast doing this stuff at JordanCon.

Paul (and Mike) is on big sweetie! I love the chats we get to have at Ohio's Ren faire each year...we (Jeremy and I) just never get to make it anywhere else the Aradani boys (and now sister) get to have fun! They are who we get our ears from

I know them very well. They all live within a couple of miles of me and my husband. Very good friends. I saw your photos posted in their deviations. (hehe, but you're better with colors; don't tell them I said so.) We meant to come up with them to Ohio Ren last year, but maybe we can work it out this year. Have to find someone to care for the doggies.

I know all about travel woos. I have to bribe the roommates to feed my cat for me.
As for color combos and costumes stuff, the boys love to chat with Jeremy about the wooden armor and now the stilts and it just keeps getting better and better. We've talked about some custom ears for us as well. I have maybe 2" ears, they are very tiny and most of the ears the boys offer just engulf my ears, so Jeremy and I trim them down to just the top most parts and use liquid latex to adhere them. I loath spirit gum, way too sticky and you can't build up and blend with it at all. I've a father that is a monster movie/ horror host and the werewolf side kick of the host duo. I've been gluing ears on him since I was 12.
We have fun talking costumes and fantasy ideas and get a ton of traffic in their shop when we stop in and stand around for photos. It's always a good time!

Wow, that's cool! I know next to nothing about prosthetics, except the little bits I've absorbed through osmosis from friends, but I will have to learn a little bit about it soon - we're planning on creating several Lord of the Rings/Hobbit costumes for next year. But I figured I already knew somewhere to get the ears for them. :-P
