Pigs are flying, and Foxbane has finally submitted something to deviantART that is actually decent!Well, I'm pretty proud of this one. Best yet, I think.
This was a request. I don't normally take them but I had a brief moment where I thought, 'IT'D BE GOOD FOR ME!' and it was indeed good practice, even if it did take a long time to complete.
My nana says she looks like my great grandma when she was young, and also that she looks like me, which is an odd coincidence considering I'm not actually related to my great grandma.
I don't have much else to say about it really. Just hope you like it and that you're all alright. Character Oriel © Mhia

Hello! This is a great drawing; extraordinary detail work and cloth shading. But There's a problem with the eyes... and believe me maybe I wouldn't have noticed it unless reading your canvas-flipping tip. You should fix her eyes to make them look symetrically positioned.

Pfft. I like your work. I should do more animals, my animal anatomy can be... well. It takes a long time to get it right. It seems to come more easily to you, especially your horses.

the lighting is so well done! I always have trouble with lighting using color, so i really admire this. it looks so real

I always used to have trouble too. The trick is to work slowly, I think, and build up coloured lighting gradually.

I was thinking the colours looked rather like the ones traditional artists used to use centuries ago. I rarely use bright colours.
